Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is celebrating after winning his first Oscar for sports documentary Undefeated, telling fans his “dreams came true” during his big night in Hollywood.
/> The rapper worked as executive producer on the film about a struggling high school football team in Memphis, Tennessee and it was named Best Documentary Feature at the Academy Awards on Sunday night.
The win gave Combs his first Oscar, and the hip-hop star shared his delight with fans in a post on Twitter.com, writing, “God is the greatest!!!! Thank you! Undefeated !!!!… Dreams do come true!! Hard work pays off!!”
However, the win was shrouded in controversy when co-director T.J. Martin uttered an expletive during his acceptance speech, telling the star-studded audience, “We would like to acknowledge our fellow nominees, they have inspired us. They have inspired us in so many ways, they should be up here with us, actually, that’d be f**king amazing.”
The curse word was edited out of the TV telecast, and Martin subsequently apologised at a backstage press conference.
He told reporters, “First and foremost I’d actually like to apologise for this. I don’t think it was the classiest thing. It did come from the heart. It was out of spontaneity, it was completely accidental.”

Actress Lucy Lawless has been charged with burglary and released from police custody after she was arrested for staging a protest onboard an oil ship docked in her native New Zealand.
/> The former Xena: Warrior Princess star was among a group of Greenpeace campaigners who climbed aboard the vessel in Taranaki, New Zealand, on Friday and chained themselves to the ship’s tower to protest against oil drilling in the Arctic.
They spent four days onboard before they were removed by police on Monday and subsequently arrested.
Lawless and her fellow protesters were charged with burglary and bailed to appear at New Plymouth District Court on Thursday.
In her final posts on Twitter.com prior to her arrest, the actress wrote, “We stand in solidarity with all who love the earth – let’s Save the Arctic from Shell!… Seven of us came up the tower on Shell’s drillship but 4 days later 130,000 will come down. In solidarity we can Save The Arctic.”

2012 Academy Awards.
He joked about Harry Potter’s low tax rate. He made fun of the head of the Academy. And, hey, he wasn’t James Franco and Anne Hathaway. That’s a huge plus.

But we somehow doubt Crystal will be asked to host the ceremony for a 10th time. Did he really stand out? Did he really leave you wanting more? Did anything seem especially fresh or original during the show?
Weigh in now with your thoughts. Grae Billy Crystal as host of these Academy Awards:

Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz presented a couple Academy Awards last night, laughing and joking and seeming like good friends.
But the time for funny banter is over. These two beauties are enemies for the next few moments.
We’ve pitted the actresses against each other in a Fashion Face-Off, with Diaz the clear underdog, considering you can pretty much see J. Lo’s nipples in her custom Zuhair Murad gown. Then again, that might be a turn off for some. Compare, contrast and decide for yourself now. Who wore her dress better?

The Dictator, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, takes on Brad Pitt. Didn’t see that one coming, we know.
Pitt was nominated for his lead role in Moneyball. Cohen was invited to the show because of his role in Hugo, but his red carpet trip was infamously cut short.
That’s because he showed up in character as Admiral General Aladeed, his character from The Dictator, and dumped Kim Jong-Il’s ashes on Ryan Seacrest.
Before getting escorted away by security, Aladeed did look quite dashing posing for the cameras with a couple of hot “officials” from the Republic of Wadiya.
Dashing enough to overtake Pitt? You decide in the poll below!

Kim Kardashian likes her men.
So Jimmy Kimmel joked during his post-Academy Awards telecast last night, as the talk show host both honored the Oscars and also mocked the heck out of the star-studded ceremony.
Never was the latter more apparent than in Kimmel’s nine minute trailer for Movie: The Movie, a movie that encapsulates every conceivable Hollywood genre and also features every actor or actress on the planet, from Tom Hanks portraying Robo Lawyer to Gary Oldman as a centaur to Samuel L. Jackson cursing at the snakes of his… soul plane.
