Heidi Klum has finally broken her silence about her shock split from husband Seal, confessing the fall-out has been an emotional “tornado”. /> While the pop star went public immediately after the split was confirmed in January, supermodel Klum retreated from the spotlight, choosing not to comment on the break-up.

However, in a new interview with Elle magazine, the German beauty reveals she wanted to avoid making public remarks for the sake of the couple’s kids.

She says, “I feel like I’m in the eye of the tornado. It’s emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness – with you wanting it or not wanting it (sic) – is another tornado.

“I don’t want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we’re in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don’t think it’s necessary – especially for our children – to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about.”

Seal was anything but negative while commenting on the break-up, insisting he will always love Klum and revealing they simply grew apart.

The couple split after seven years of marriage.
