Property tycoon-turned reality TV star Donald Trump has offered to end the controversy surrounding plans to build a new Islamic community center close to Ground Zero in New York – by buying the site himself.

Religious leaders have upset the families of those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001 by announcing plans to build a hostel just streets away from where the Twin Towers crumbled nine years ago – after Muslim extremists flew two planes into the high rise buildings.
The row over whether or not the Muslim group should be allowed to start a new home so close to the site of the tragedy has rumbled on for months and now Trump has offered to put an end to it.
He wants to buy the lower Manhattan site – and he’ll pay 25 per cent more than what the current owners paid for it.

Hulk Hogan has announced plans to marry his girlfriend following his release from hospital on Thursday.

The celebrity wrestler has been battling “excruciating back pain” after injuring himself while picking seashells last weekend and he checked into a medical center in Florida on Monday.
Upon his discharge, Hogan insisted his hospital stay had given him a new lease of life and he told reporters the news that he’s ready to wed his fiancee, Jennifer.
He told TMZ.com, “Now that I’ve had a close encounter with the other side, I’m going to move this wedding up. I want to get married to Jennifer right away. It’s true.
“I was so far on the other side with all that negative energy… I’m all the way back to the good side. (I want to get) married immediately.”

More progress!!!!!
A federal court in Riverside, California, ruled Thursday that the military’s discriminatory “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, which prohibits lesbians and gay men

from serving openly in the armed forces, is unconstitutional!
U.S. district judge Virginia A. Phillips wrote in the 86-page opinion handed down late Thursday that the DADT statute violates the Fifth and First amendments.
AMAZING!!!!!
Phillips said the policy doesn’t help military readiness and instead has a “direct and deleterious effect” on the armed services.
Government lawyers argued that Phillips lacked the authority to issue a nationwide injunction and Congress should decide the policy’s fate.
The U.S. House voted in May to repeal the policy, and the Senate is expected to address the issue this summer.
Equality is inevitable!!!!

This menace must be stopped! We’ve posted a photo (above) with the real Joaquin Phoenix on the upper left, surrounded by a few people we think are solid suspects.
A Joaquin Phoenix Impostor has been reportedly making red carpet appearances at the Toronto International Film Festival, and he’s been doing it in style.
According to Phoenix’s PR team, the Impostor has been arriving at venues by limo with a “massive entourage of security and scantily clad female groupies.”
If this is all a hoax, it’s a damn elaborate one, not to mention a damn fun one, and we are impressed!
What are your thoughts on the Joaquin Phoenix Impostor?
