Troubled comedian Artie Lange has opened up about his extended rehab stint in Florida, revealing he’s finally conquered his problems with drugs and alcohol.
/> Lange, the sidekick of radio show host Howard Stern, has struggled with substance abuse over the last few years and he largely stepped out ofthe spotlight following an alleged suicide attempt in January, 2010.
The funnyman has now come clean about his road to recovery, admitting he’s put his drug-fueled past behind him after getting help for a period of several months at a treatment center in South Florida.
During an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Friday, he said, “I feel fantastic. I went to rehab. I had some issues that had to be dealt with in rehab. They have experts there, that deal with people like me… It was in South Florida… I went down there and I had a counsellor, she’s a wonderful woman, 60-years-old, very sweet. It’s me and eight guys in the group… and the woman says, ‘You know I think your drug-use can be traced back to (your) lack of self-importance.’”
And while Lange admits getting sober wasn’t easy, he insists he’s finally kicked his habits.
He continues, “The first month there I was doing drugs, in Florida drugs are all over the place. They wash up on the shore… Smugglers, if they think they’re going to get caught, they throw cocaine off in a bag… It happens so much, they give it a name, they call it white lobster… (But) I finally got the idea of rehab, which is to stop doing drugs… A lot of normal people, like you, think rehab is like white (lab) coats… It’s not that way. It’s people (that are) really concerned (about you).”

Rapper Kanye West has been hit was a new copyright lawsuit for allegedly sampling an unauthorised song on his 2006 mixtape Freshmen Adjustment 2.
/> The Persuaders singer Robert ‘Bobby’ Poindexter has accused the Stronger hitmaker of featuring the R&B group’s Trying Girls Out in a remix version of Girls, Girls, Girls, without seeking permission.
And last week Poindexter filed legal papers at the United States District Court of Southern New York asking for $500,000 in damages.
AllHipHop.com has obtained a copy of the documents, which read, “I have offered to resolve this matter out of court with Kanye West. But in response, he has refused to even discuss any ‘out-of-court’ resolutions whatsoever. Nor has he provided any evidence that he is demanding others to cease and desist from selling the illegal version.”
This isn’t the first time West has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit – soul singer Syl Johnson waged a court battle against the rap star last autumn over the unauthorised use of his Different Strokes on the hitmaker’s Jay-Z collaboration The Joy. The pair settled the suit last month.

All-American Rejects star Matt Rubano was caught up in a fender bender with singer Nick Lachey’s driver in Los Angeles last weekend.
/> Bassist Ruban was arriving at Los Angles International Airport to pick up his girlfriend Jennifer Charlton when the couple’s car was scraped by a hired chauffeur, who was driving Lachey and his pregnant wife Vanessa.
Charlton tells Life & Style, “Matt was stopping to get me and the driver drove around and (scraped) the back left side of my car, above the tire. Matt went to the window; he was like, ‘Dude, you hit my car!’”
The publication has obtained pictures of the vehicular damage and Charlton admits the driver was more than flustered.
She adds, “He was really shaky and nervous because Nick and Vanessa were in the back of the car and he had to do all of this paperwork. He was like, ‘Do you know who I have in the back?’ I felt bad for him.”
The parents-to-be later jetted off to Australia to celebrate the opening of Sydney nightclub Marquee on Friday.

Actor Michael J. Fox kept his struggle with Parkinson’s disease secret for seven years because he feared it would destroy his ability to find work.
/> The Family Ties star was diagnosed with the debilitating disorder at the height of his career back in 1991.
Fox kept his medical condition from fans and suffered in silence until 1998 when his symptoms became impossible to hide – and he now admits he purposely kept his health battle secret for the sake of his career.
He tells Parade magazine, “I thought, ‘Oh my god, are people going to laugh at me if they know I’m sick? Can I still do my work?’”
Shortly after going public, the actor began hiding behind the camera by taking on a number of voice roles like animated movie Stuart Little – but Fox, who now stars in TV show The Good Wife, insists he’s finally regained his confidence.
He adds, “People ask me, ‘Does it bother you when you shake in front of people?’ No. It sometimes bothers me when I can’t do what I want, but I don’t give a damn how it looks.”

Alexander Ludwig and Leven Rambin are apparently hooking up now, though they claim they’re just party buddies.
But how can you claim that when you’ve been spotted cuddling and kissing outside the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood??
You can’t claim that! That’s how!
Ha!
Finally — a Hunger Games hookup! This one is coming from Cato and Glimmer, and we wonder if there will be any more by the end of the series!
All of their reps are on the denial train, headed for Port Cover Up:
“They are just party pals.”
“They are not dating, they are friends.”
Eh, we’re not completely sold. Also, we’re not 100% on what the point of covering up ANY romance is — publicists need something to do, we guess!
Do U get dating vibes??

She might not be the only reason, but Adele sure is one of the biggest reasons that music sales were up for the first time in a long time in 2011!
Sales have been steadily going down for the recording industry… that is, until now!
Music sales are grew in 2011 for the first time since 2004!
Physical sales were still down, but the loss was made up in digital sales — which went up by 9.4% and for the FIRST TIME ever made up more than half of the industry’s revenues!
All of this means that we need to thank Adele:
‘Adele became the first artist to go double-platinum on iTunes — while her massive breakthrough, 21, helped goose digital and physical sales numbers by collectively topping more than 8 million in 2011 — digital sales were huge. Both unit sales (105 million) and revenue ($1 billion) were up more than 20 percent. Single downloads were up nearly 11 percent to 1.3 million.’
Incredible!
Watching EVERYBODY’s album sales from last year was nothing short of amazing. We’d put our money on the resurgence of really decent tunes!
So fab!

In what is certainly just a bid for ratings, it’s been announced that Sarah Palin is co-hosting the Today Show sometime next week.
It was announced on the show’s website, along with the promise that Sarah will “reveal a different side of her than you’ve seen before.”
This is all happening, probably, because Robin Roberts is having Katie Couric fill in for her on the rival show Good Morning America.
Palin is no stranger to TV, grasping any chance she can get to be in front of a camera. Plus, it should be interesting to see who wins the rating as the last time Katie Couric and Palin squared off, Palin got obliterated in the interview!
Who do U think will win??
