The drama never ends in the Anna Nicole Smith drug conspiracy case!
Now, witness Ford Shelley recanted his earlier statements in which he alluded that Smith’s lawyer-boyfriend Howard K. Stern had overmedicated Smith.
On Friday, he changed his tune, claiming that he never witnessed Smith abuse drugs nor did he see Stern force any medication on to her. He also says that he believes Stern shouldn’t be on trial.
Stern, along with Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich have pleaded not guilty to charges claiming that they provided Smith excessive drugs.
Shady, shady, shady….

Singer/songwriter Kara Dioguardi has officially stepped down as a judge on hit TV talent show American Idol amid reports Jennifer Lopez is renegotiating a role on the series.
[/img]
Talks with Lopez fell apart earlier this summer after both Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres quit the show, but now insiders claim she’s interested in joining Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and longtime judge Randy Jackson on the panel.
In a statement released late on Friday, DioGuardi announced she would not be returning for the 10th season of the show.
She says, “I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave.
“I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol; it has truly been an amazing experience… I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10.”
Paying tribute to DioGuardi, Idol creator Simon Fuller states, “Kara is one of the world’s best songwriters. She has been passionate and committed to Idol over the last two seasons. I will miss having her on the show, but I look forward to working with her in music for many years to come.”

The man who sparked a panic at Paris Hilton’s home in Hollywood last week by attempting to break-in while the socialite was sleeping has pleaded not guilty to a felony burglary charge.
[/img]
Nathan Lee Parada entered his plea in Los Angeles on Friday and is now scheduled to return to court on 15 September for a preliminary hearing. He is expected to remain behind bars until then.
Parada was arrested by police outside Hilton’s home on 24 August.
She tweeted about the incident, writing, “So scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes.”
Since that incident, Hilton herself has landed in trouble with the law after she was arrested in Las Vegas last Friday and charged with cocaine possession.

Cowell Thought Ailing Cole Was Hungover

Simon Cowell presumed his The X Factor co-star Cheryl Cole was suffering from a hangover shortly before she collapsed with malaria.
[/img]
The Girls Aloud beauty shocked her entourage when she fainted during a photoshoot in July and she was later diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease, which left her in intensive care.
Cole picked up the illness during a trip to Africa in June, but Cowell – the star’s boss on the hit U.K. talent show – was convinced she was suffering the after effects from a boozy birthday bash.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, “We didn’t know what was going on. I remember saying funnily enough that she had gone to Africa for a trip and had come back for filming and I thought she was a bit off-color, but more personality than physically.
“And then the day it kicked off we actually thought she had a hangover, so we were winding her up all day, and she was sleeping it off or whatever.
“And then of course we realized that it was serious a couple of days later. I got the call from her manager who told me just how serious this really was.
“In that situation you are not even thinking about the show at that point. You are just thinking, ‘I hope she is going to be OK.’
“I didn’t know much about it, but apparently it was a serious strain. We were very, very worried about her, she was seriously ill.”

Chart-topping rapper Eminem hinted that he would be interested in playing the Riddler in Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie.
However, Johnny Depp and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are also in talks for the role.
“When it comes to business, you know I ain’t no fiddler…You tell tem Batman biggies, I wanna play “The Riddler!” said Eminem to his reps.
A rapping Riddler? That sounds intriguing, but the Riddler also has to be conniving and evil, not a thug.
Sorry Eminem, but we’re not sure you have the acting chops for this role!

This kid really means what he is singing! He is feeeeling those words!
Yesterday, this video of Chicago native Keenan Cahill blew up YouTube. Let’s just say his, um, overly animated rendition of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dreams is not to be missed.
Apparently, Katy felt the same way and even sent him a special shout-out via Twitter saying, “I heart you @KeenanCahill.”
Amazing!
Check Keenan out in the video above!

An Open Letter To Lindsay Lohan…This Time From Pat O’Brien

We feel like we basically took care of the “Open Letter” thing with our video Life Coaching With Perez: An Open Letter To Lindsay Lohan, but for those of you out there who’d like to see more, here’s an open letter from entertainment anchor/radio host Pat O’Brien:

Dear Lindsay:
Do us all a favor and take a snapshot of your life on this Friday, Sept. 3, 2010. By all accounts, you are reasonably healthy right now.
You are out of jail.
You’ve completed another rehab. Right now, people are buying tickets to your movie, “Machete,” with a formidable Hollywood cast. And you grace the cover of the new Vanity Fair magazine, looking ever the movie star with all the accompanying door prizes and presents: beauty, happiness, confidence, youth and that “have it all” look that the woman you are channeling, Grace Kelly, possessed. This is all good.
But hopefully, you’ll also take a look at the negative of that photo you just snapped … and ponder what life has been and what life can be. Indeed, it was Grace Kelly who said of Hollywood: “It’s a town without pity. I know of no other place in the world where so many people suffer from nervous breakdowns, where there are so many alcoholics, neurotics and so much unhappiness.”
From where we all sit, this is also a big part of your snapshot … and despite all the crazy and mostly embellished media coverage of your life’s journey, there remain a great number of people who are worried about you. I am one of them. I am also one of those alcoholics that Grace Kelly spoke of.
I’ve been through it, Lindsay. For me, there has been no jail, no courtroom antics, no ankle bracelet and, thankfully, I don’t have the paparazzi snapping my every move. But I, too, have the same demons you have, and it’s no fun. But there is good news and bad news about these demons. The bad news is that they never go away: We’re wired differently. The good news is that with a certain amount of willingness, structure and personal inventory, those demons can be arrested. And the ones who survive, like myself so far, are the ones who accept that these are the cards that were handed us and we don’t have to always gamble our lives away.
The important thing to remember is that this is your life and nobody else’s. And there’s no blame; it’s not the media’s fault or the paparazzo’s fault or even your father’s fault. He’s got enough problems of his own. It has nothing to do with growing up too fast or being too young or even the jungle Grace Kelly hated called Hollywood. It’s a seemingly simple, yet incredibly complicated disorder that millions of Americans share. It’s a brain disease that brings terrible and embarrassing consequences. There’s no cure, but with the right focus it can be tamed. [It's] not my place to tell you how to do this because, by now, you know where to seek help.
The great late talk-show host Tom Snyder once asked me on his show, “What killed Elvis?” My answer was, “Not what, but who?” I went on to explain that nobody ever said no to the King of Rock and Roll and eventually that killed him. Nobody said much to Marilyn Monroe, either. The brilliant and talented Dennis Hopper had his demons and conquered them and died with years of sobriety, yet the 10th, 11th and 12th words in his obituary were “drugs and alcohol.”
It really isn’t any of our business, but we are all spectators in what has become a sad three-ring circus. We buy Vanity Fair. We buy movie tickets. We give up precious moments of our busy lives to watch some of those television shows looking for a rating by ambushing you. (Yeah, “The Insider” really wanted to do a story on your closet!) So we are invested in the Lindsay Lohan business, and I have to be honest that most of us are rooting for you.
On this Friday, your press is great. Your castmates are loving and holding out their hands in a snapshot you should frame. Take a deep breath and look at yourself right now and think how it would be if every day was like this: full of smiles and promises. I hope you’ve learned that this is possible. Many have discovered a new journey, and it’s a much more satisfying road with a better destination. You have to realize that the consequences of denial start to get much more serious than Perez Hilton making fun of you. Sadly, it’s well-documented that the consequence waiting for you could be death. To me, it seems an easy choice.
In the meantime, good luck with the movie, hand out the new Vanity Fair to your real friends and take life one day at a time.
Hopefully, I’ll see you soon. I suggest the nearest Starbucks.
Your friend,
Pat O’Brien

What do U think of Pat O’Brien’s advice to Lindsay?

Fierce!
RiRi continues to film her new flick, Battleship in Hawaii yesterday and gave a very lady like greeting to the photogs.
In reality, we don’t know if she is flipping off the paparazzi or if she is in character, but we hope it’s the latter.
We want to see RiRi kick some serious ass! Grab hold, BB!

Uh, oh.
Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, made a derogatory comment about the Twilight saga.
While discussing the kiss she had with co-star Rupert Grint while shooting The Deathly Hallows, Emma had a few things to say about the sex scenes in Twilight.

“This kiss between Hermione and Ron is highly anticipated, it’s been building up for eight films now. And Harry Potter is not Twilight, you know; we’re not selling sex.”

She’s right. Twilight sells sex and Harry Potter sells…middle-school kisses and magic.
What do U think? Was Emma’s comment innocent or snide? Are U on Team Potter or Team Twilight?

The stress of shooting Mad Men has landed the period drama’s star Jon Hamm with a nasty case of vitiligo.
[/img]
The actor’s hands have become discoloured in places thanks to the skin disease – and he puts it down to the long hours he spends fretting about his character Don Draper on the show.
He tells Rolling Stone magazine, “You do have to be mentally acute for a significant period of time, and that becomes pretty draining.
“I have vitiligo. It’s stress-oriented. It comes and goes and waxes and wanes. This did not exist before the show.”
