Pearce Apologises For Mocking Australian Capital

Guy Pearce has apologised to his fellow Australians after mocking the nation’s capital city in a interview, insisting he feels “embarrassed and mortified” and is “truly very sorry”.
His comments upset politicians and tourism bosses Down Under, and Pearce has now released a statement to apologise for his remarks, calling himself a “twit” and urging Aussies to approach him in the street and berate his films.
He says, “I’m writing to sincerely apologise for the comments I recently made about Canberra on the USA talk show Craig Ferguson. I’m such a twit for doing this and feel so embarrassed and mortified at what I said. I regretted it as soon as I walked off the set. I stupidly ran with a joke which I took too far for no other reason than to get laughs and I know I’ve offended many Canberrans and Australians in general. I feel horrible about myself for doing this and I’m truly very sorry…
“I actually really like Canberra, and in the few times I’ve been I’ve really enjoyed it and found it to be extremely beautiful, so I’m so sorry for being such a d**khead… I’m so proud of Australia and that I get to still work and live here and the last thing I want is alienate anyone or offend them. Please accept my apology. I give you permission to abuse me in the street and tell me my films are c**p.”

Jon Gosselin: Behind on Child Support?

Jon Gosselin has fallen behind on his child support payments to his ex-wife Kate Gosselin again, according to a tabloid report, to the tune of $3,557.06.
That’s far less than the amount Levi Johnston is accused of owing for just one child, but it’s enough to mean legal consequences for Jon just the same.
The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality star has eight kids he is required to support by law, and the Pennsylvania Dept. of Child Welfare is calling him out.
Kate Gosselin seemed blindsided by the fact that Jon was going to go back to court for non-payment of child support after a Twitter follower alerted her.
“I don’t know if he’s going to court but wouldn’t surprise me…. How do you know this stuff?!?” she wrote but quickly stopped engaging the follower:
“Woah….I’m not allowed to talk about orders from the court.…”
Probably smart. Since TLC canned their show, Kate has been working as a blogger for CouponCabin (dot) com while Jon has been working construction.
Their contentious relationship often involves slamming each other on Twitter, but if Jon really does owe back child support, a real battle could erupt.
Frances Bean Cobain Defends Dave Grohl, Calls For Courtney Love Twitter Ban

Dave Grohl hit on her.
Love claimed Grohl “hit on” Frances and is “obsessed” with the teenage daughter of Kurt Cobain, and that “she was curious” about him as well.
Frances wasted no time in pointedly slamming the rumor and her mom.
“While I’m generally silent on the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn,” says Frances. “I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I’m in a monogamous relationship and very happy.”
Frances adds: “Twitter should ban my mother.”
Grohl, the Nirvana drummer turned Foo Fighters frontman, also ripped Love, who claimed he was “sexually obsessed” with Frances and/or Kurt.
“Unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant,” Grohl, the married father of two daughters, says through his rep in response.
“These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue.”
For her part, Frances Bean Cobain, 19, is happy at least, getting engaged to Isaiah Silva, frontman of the rock band the Rambles, last fall.

Justin Bieber Covers Seventeen, Loves Selena Gomez

Boyfriend” these days, but the 18-year old knows it takes more than just a few catchy lyrics to actually satisfy the opposite sex.
So, how does he approach his relationship with Selena Gomez? Simple, the singer tells the latest issue of Seventeen.
“I’m just trying to make her happy, that’s all. I think it’s important to make all women feel like they’re princesses, because every girl is a princess. I’m serious.”
Aside from making women swoon with that quote, Justin touched on a number of other topics with the magazine. To wit:
Who is his role model? “Usher is who I look to for guidance. From the beginning, he told me to put family first and you’ll always succeed, because your family will never leave you. He told me to always stay humble and never forget where I came from.”
How will he remain close to his fans? “A lot of times, when artists grow older, they lose their younger fans because they’re just trying to get older fans. But if you try to make good music, then you’ll just appease everybody. I just want to make music that’s good for everybody.”
What’s his biggest fear? “Losing a family member… I’ve never lost anyone, so I don’t know what the feeling would be. It would just be scary.”
Lady Gaga Slammed For "Pop Singers Don’t Eat" Tweet

Lady Gaga is a major advocate for anti-bullying campaigns and LGBT rights, but she’s come under fire for a Tweet she recently posted about … eating.
Yes, in what some critics are interpreting as a pro-anorexic statement, the outspoken, wacky-dressing singer recently told her 22.6 million Twitter fans:
“Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger #PopSingersDontEat #IWasBornThisWay,” the 26-year-old posted.
Even though she was eating a salad (maybe she’s just dieting?), the backlash started rolling in, accusing the pop star of supporting eating disorders.
“Seriously what is Lady Gaga playing at? In her last tweet she put #PopSingersDontEat. What a great role model she is…” one Tweeter posted.
Added another Tweeter:
“@ladygaga I’m stunned that you would promote such an unhealthy attitude towards food to your fans when you claim to be so righteous.”
So far, no response from Gaga on Twitter, and since she’s not doing interviews for awhile, don’t expect a public comment anywhere else.

Jennifer Hudson Performs "Think Like a Man" on American Idol Results Show

this week’s results show, as arguably the season’s best singer wasn’t merely placed in the bottom three; she was sent home!
Until the judges instituted their first and only saved of the season, that is. Jessica Sanchez will be around to impress for at least seven more days.
Less stunning than this development, however? The fact that Jennifer Hudson returned to the stage that made her famous and absolutely slayed via a performance of “Think Like a Man.”

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie to Star in The Counselor?

For the first time since the 2005 action-romance that brought them together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may be set to burn up the big screen together.
The Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-stars are in talks to appear alongside Shame’s Michael Fassbender and Javier Bardem in The Counselor, directed by Ridley Scott.
According to reports, Brangelina’s project is set to begin in a few months, and the movie will shoot in Europe. Both the Jolie-Pitts and Scott have homes in France.
Fassbender will play the title role of a respected lawyer who gets tangled in the drug business, while the film will reportedly deal with very gritty themes.
Unlike when they shot Mr. and Mrs. Smith, however, Jolie and Pitt are a bona fide couple – with six kids. Until now they have alternated film projects.
“We’re not ones to repeat ourselves, but we’d like to, because now, we’re hopscotching films so one can be with the kids and one’s free to work,” Pitt said.
“And why aren’t we doing movies together? Why aren’t we doing everything together?”
Looks like they soon will be.

Mindy McCready cannot even give birth without controversy.
The country singer – who abducted her son in late 2011 and was eventually found cowering with the five-year old in a friend’s closet – welcomed a baby boy into the world last Monday, she confirmed over the weekend, despite reports that she was pregnant with twins.
His name is Zayne.
“Zayne is truly a blessing and a joy,” McCready and boyfriend David Wilson said in a statement. “It was a long and trying pregnancy; we’re so happy he’s here. There are no words to convey how happy we are.”
A rep for McCready says a “misinterpreted sonogram” was to blame for the initial claim of two fetuses.
The crooner’s sordid history includes an alleged relationship with cheating baseball star Roger Clemens when she was only 16, along with the incident detailed above and a sex tape. She is also the mother to Zander, 6.
Barack Obama on Ann Romney: Hard-Working and Wonderful!

criticized Ann Romney for “never working a day in her life” and, therefore, lacking the knowledge to speak on economic issues – the wife of Mitt Romney finds herself supported by an unlikely ally:
Barack Obama.
Speaking to Columbus, Ohio television station WCMH yesterday, the President defended the work of stay-at-home moms everywhere, while also emphasizing that family members ought to be off limits in an election.
“First of all there is no tougher job than being a mom,” Obama said. “I think this was an ill-advised statement by somebody on television. It’s not something that I subscribe to, and moreover my general rule is you don’t talk about the spouses of elected officials because they’ve got a really tough job. They’re out there supporting their husband or wife who have chosen to serve in public eye.
“Sometimes that spouse isn’t volunteering for that job, but they’re doing the best they can supporting somebody they love and they care about. And I think they’re off limits, so on both counts it was the wrong thing to say and I haven’t met Ms. Romney but she seems like a wonderful woman and I know that she’s devoted her life to her family.”
Ann Romney also shot back at Rosen this week, telling Fox News women should respect the career choices made by other women and that mothers are perfectly capable of speaking out on the “legacy of debt” she believes Obama is leaving the next generation.

Jada Pinkett Smith on Divorce Rumors: Untrue!

With tabloid chatter continuing to claim that she and husband Will Smith are headed for a divorce, the actress told French magazine Gala this week: “Every year, one celebrity couple is under the microscope. This year, unluckily, it’s us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it.”
So Jada did not sleep with Marc Anthony? And Will, as rumored in the cover story below, is not having an affair with pal Duane Martin?
“Will and I know the truth. We’re waiting peacefully for the storm to blow over,” Jada said, adding more forcefully: “These rumors are completely untrue. I travel a lot because of my work, just like Will does…. But our lifestyle hasn’t changed.”
Okay. Glad that’s settled. Now, about your daughter’s hair…
