Jackson Upset Over Tribute Show Controversy
Nov 16th
Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine is “extremely displeased” by reports which suggest crew members who worked on the King Of Pop’s tribute concert last month have not been paid in full.
/img
Staff who manned the event in Wales in October have taken to Twitter.com to accuse organizers at Global Live of failing to compensate them for their work.
Jackson, who helped organize the show, is upset to hear about the complaints and hopes the situation will be rectified.
A lawyer for the Jackson matriarch tells TMZ.com, “After Mrs. Jackson did all she could to help promote and make this a great event for all of Michael’s fans, she is extremely displeased to hear that concert promoters have allegedly failed to pay their bills.
“Katherine is hoping that they step up and take care of their obligations.”
Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green were among the acts who performed at Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert in Cardiff.

Songz Sued By Reality Star Over Catchphrase Battle
Nov 16th
Rapper Trey Songz has been hit with a lawsuit from a reality TV star over an ongoing battle about the use of a catchphrase.
/img
The Bottoms Up hitmaker’s legal team allegedly sent a cease and desist letter to Storage Wars star Dave ‘The Mogul’ Hester in a bid to stop him using the expression ‘YUUUP!’, which is Songz’s “signature sound”.
They also requested auction hunter Hester stop using the word on T-shirts and other merchandise.
Hester has now filed his own lawsuit in a Manhattan federal court, claiming Songz’s use of the term is “distinct and different” from his own “monosyllabic sounding guttural auction bidding phrase… which is meant to convey the meaning of ‘yes’.”
The TV star is seeking unspecified damages and a court order banning Songz from “interfering” with his use of the word, which Hester trademarked in September, according to Fox News.

Fox Accuser Wants Countersuit Dismissed
Nov 15th
The female bus driver who accused Matthew Fox of assaulting her in August has filed papers demanding the actor’s countersuit against her is dismissed.
/img
The Lost star attempted to board a party bus in Ohio when he was confronted by driver Heather Bormann because his name was not on the private guestlist.
A scuffle ensued and Fox was accused of hitting Bormann, while the female driver allegedly punched the actor in the face. Fox was detained by police but not formally arrested.
Just weeks later, Bormann sued the actor, accusing him of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress, but Fox hit back with a countersuit claiming the driver provoked him and subsequently subjected him to “public hatred, contempt, ridicule and shame” due to the media fallout.
Bormann is refusing to accept Fox’s lawsuit, branding his claims “baseless, impertinent, scandalous, and frivolous”, according to E! Online.
She wants Fox’s suit dismissed and is seeking $25,000 from the star.

In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page on Friday, he told fans about the arrest, writing, “Police impounded my Bentley so I guess I gotta bring the rose out! F**k they thought that was my only car lol (laugh out loud).
“My car was parked an (and) they asked to search it. An (and) I said no. So they locked me up an said will get a judge search warrant.”

To Catch A Predator Host Chris Hansen May Have Lost Dateline Anchor Job Due To Scandal!
Jul 19th
It would be a serious shame if that’s true!
Last we heard about To Catch A Predator host Chris Hansen, he’d been allegedly cheating on his wife, sending scandalous photos, and sexting with Florida news anchor Kristyn Caddell.
Now, we’re hearing that Hansen may have lost a chance at landing an anchor chair position on NBC’s Dateline because of the scandal.
Here’s what a source had to say about it:
“…For now, plans to promote Chris to the Dateline lead anchor spot have been placed on hold. To put it bluntly, Hansen is a married man with kids who’s embroiled in a sleazy sex scandal – and that rubs against the grain of the family values image NBC is looking to project from its on-air talent.”
Here’s what a spokesperson for NBC News had to say about it in a statement:
“Ann Curry is the anchor of Dateline. Chris Hansen will continue to anchor when Hansen Files and his other stories air.”
Whether or not he was actually up for that position, we’d say he should feel lucky that he’s still got a job AT ALL! Things didn’t turn out so well for our old friend Anthony Weiner…
Do U think Chris Hansen was up for a Dateline anchor position? Do U think the scandal might threaten his current job?

Boo! GaGa’s Born This Way Gets Banned In Lebanon
Jun 7th
[img]
[/img]
Not cool, Lebanon!
Lady GaGa’s Born This Way may be the fastest-selling album of the year so far, but that’s not stopping the government of Lebanon from banning the album from stores.
According to reports, Lebanon’s government chose to ban the album due to its “alleged insults to Christianity” and “its all around ‘bad taste.’”
Such a disappointing move! Maybe the folks in Lebanon who want to hear Born This Way can download the album off of iTunes or Amazon. Is it also banned from digital stores???
If so, they COULD always download the songs and get creative with the file names. Just re-title everything from “Lady GaGa – Born This Way” to “Dave Matthews Band – Before These Crowded Streets.” Ha!
A classic Dave CD doesn’t seem suspicious at all…does it?
What do U think about GaGa’s Born This Way being banned in Lebanon?

Soulja Boy Is Getting Sued For Missed Concert
May 19th
[img]
[/img]
Rapper Soulja Boy cancelled a gig last December and allegedly didn’t pay anyone back the money he was paid for it!
He was paid a $16,250 advance fee to secure the date, and also owes another $3,500 for bus transportation to the event and a another $8,000 for television and radio commercials to promote it!
TrinCity chief Joseph Sheldon Brewster is the one bring the legal hurt against Soulja Boy, and he blames Interscope Records and MySpace Music of stopping the concert and then not paying a promised $10,000 to make up for the advertising costs on time.
Brewster claims it’s a breach of contract and unjust enrichment, and is looking for nowhere near the amounts that they didn’t pay back, and is suing for a cool $1 million dollars instead.
That’s a huge difference to us, and we have no idea how you can justify that amount against what was actually owed.
Wonder how this’ll play out, if the courts will agree that Brewster is owed that much or not. We expect probably that everything else should be reimbursed if the allegations are true!

Rick Springfield Threatened Cop’s Life When Arrested
May 16th
[img]
[/img]
This isn’t good, at all.
Reports are coming in that when Rick Springfield was arrested for his DUI, and they told him his $200k car was going to be towed, that he allegedly yelled at the officer:
“If you tow my car I will f**king kill you and your family.”
The weird thing is, though, this wasn’t in the police report.
An insider claims that the captain did ask his men if they felt threatened when Rick said that, but they all said it was a loaded question, and apparently everyone just landed on the idea that Rick was belligerent, and belligerent people say stupid things.
Here’s the Police Station’s excuse:
“It is rare when a drunk doesn’t say something outlandish to police when they’re arrested. I have no idea what went down with this one, I wasn’t there, but drunks are notorious for saying stupid, outlandish things to law enforcement all the time. Law enforcement’s job is to get them off the streets, because they’re drunk.”
We say that’s uncalled for in any situation, and something should have been done about it. So the question is: did they not because of his celebrity?
If that’s the case, we’re kinda sick and tired of celebrities getting special attention in the eyes of the law. While we don’t think Rick would ever intend to kill someone and their family, that is just something you do not say to an officer of the law regardless.
Wake up, Rick! Don’t let this happen again — you got off easy, considering.
