Bobby Brown Releases Whitney Houston Tribute Song, World Slaps Collective Forehead
May 17th

Bobby Brown took to The Tonight Show stage to debut a new song he wrote about life since Whitney Houston’s death … we wish we were kidding.
The song, released online a week ago but little-noticed because Bobby Brown’s career has been on a 15-year tailspin, is a confession of sorts.
Bobby admits he “messed up pretty bad” and begs his late ex-wife … “Don’t let me die.” That’s right, even after her death, it’s all about BB.

The song also features the lyrics, “I didn’t realize that every breath I took was from you … You were my air.” That’s actually somewhat nice.
Brown also sings. “I didn’t know who you were, didn’t know what we had. Now I’m stuck living in the past … trying to get the pieces back. But I guess now you’re gone.”
Guess so.
Brown, who’s been making the media rounds to reiterate that Whitney’s death is not his fault, performed the track live last night for the FIRST TIME EVER, will be releasing the sensual track on his new album in June, just months after she died.
Hey, gotta strike while the iron is hot.
Russell Brand on Katy Perry: Nothing But Love!
May 17th

Celebrity Breakups 101.
Proving that a split doesn’t have to be bitter or contentious just because it’s painful, the comedian opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about his recent divorce and had only positive things to say about former wife Katy Perry.
“I still love her as a human being,” he said. “But, sometimes when you’re in a relationship I suppose it doesn’t work out, does it? You can’t absolutely make everything the way you want it to be in life. But that doesn’t mean I regret it or anything.”
“Sometimes things are just different and then you move with that and try and remain in contact with what is beautiful about yourself and each other.”
“I was very happy to be married with her,” Brand continued. “She’s such a beautiful human being and I just have only love and positivity for her.”
Perry has since rebounded with Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, with whom she was spotted packing on the PDA at Coachella.
Still, it’s time to move on. Last week, Brand finally unfollowed her on Twitter.
Also on Ellen, Brand weighed in on various newsworthy items of the day, including the Time Magazine breastfeeding cover. You gotta watch.
Eduardo Saverin, Facebook Co-Founder, Renounces U.S. Citizenship in Advance of IPO
May 17th

The Social Network, is no longer an American citizen.
Saverin, 30, renounced the U.S. citizenship he gained as a teenager in advance of the company’s impending IPO, a move met with criticism.
He’s accused of trying to skip out on taxes with the move, though the Brazilian-born resident of Singapore has done nothing illegal at any point.

Eduardo Saverin co-founded Facebook at age 21, was forced out two years later, sued CEO Mark Zuckerberg and ultimately settled out of court.
He was given a share of the company that left him phenomenally wealthy.
His stake, 4 percent of the company, will most likely be worth more than $3 billion when Facebook goes public Friday. Hence his exit now.
Saverin joins a growing number of people giving up U.S. citizenship, a move that can trim their tax liabilities when residing in lower-tax nations.
Said Tom Goodman, a spokesman for Saverin, in an e-mailed statement:
“Eduardo recently found it more practical to become a resident of Singapore since he plans to live there for an indefinite period of time.”
He professes ignorance about his taxes and refuses to discuss his finances.
“This had nothing to do with taxes,” he insisted. “I was born in Brazil, I was a U.S. citizen for about 10 years. I thought of myself as a global citizen.”
Saverin renounced U.S. citizenship “around September”, according to his spokesman.
Singapore doesn’t have a capital gains tax. It does tax income earned in that nation, as well as “certain foreign- sourced income,” according to reports.
Saverin won’t escape all U.S. taxes. Americans who give up their citizenship owe what is effectively an exit tax on the capital gains from stock holdings.
Renouncing your citizenship in advance of an IPO is “a very smart idea,” said one expert, “Once it’s public you can’t fool around with the value.”
Saverin’s decision to leave could have been a wager that the cost of an exit tax now – 15 percent of whatever valuation he could get the IRS to agree to – would be far less than the 35 percent or more in estate tax his heirs would face.

Nicki Minaj "Right By My Side" Music Video: Chris Brown Loses Out to Nas!
May 17th

Nicki Minaj’s music video for her latest hit single “Right By My Side” premiered last night, featuring Chris Brown on vocals and Nas in the romance department.
The Benny Boom-directed video features Nicki as a ’round-the-way kinda girl who finds love with a regular guy (Nas). Fairy tale romance at its finest, people.
Chris woos the outrageous rapper-singer during his guest appearance, and they even dance suggestively together, but it looks like he loses out to bad boy Nas.
Nas manages to win her over by gifting her an expensive sports car, though her expression at the end of the song makes you wonder if she made a mistake:

Jason Biggs, Wife Parody Time Breastfeeding Cover
May 17th

Time Magazine breastfeeding cover has sparked controversy, worldwide debate, and now this ridiculous photo from Jason Biggs.
The American Reunion star and his wife, Jenny Mollen, posed up for a picture to parody the shot, with Biggs sharing the image on his Twitter page.
Mollen emulated the pose of Time cover model Jamie Lynne Grumet. The Time cover story, on attachment parenting, asked: Are you mom enough?
Biggs shared the picture with the caption: “Are you wife enough?”

Biggs’ parody, while by far the most absurd, isn’t the only celebrity reaction to the cover story and subject everybody seems to be talking about.
Actress Alyssa Milano, who’s been very vocal in the past about her beliefs surrounding breastfeeding, wrote on her Twitter page: “@Time, no! You missed the mark! You’re supposed to be making it easier for breastfeeding moms.”
“Your cover is exploitive & extreme.”
However, The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik said that while she disagreed with the photo itself, Jamie Lynne Grumet’s story was inspiring.

What do you think of “attachment parenting”?
Mary Richardson Kennedy Committed Suicide, Report Says
May 17th

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, was “depressed and despondent” before committing suicide this week, according to a new report.
Police found Mary Kennedy dead at her Mount Kisco, N.Y., home Wednesday.
Radar Online is reporting that the 52-year-old hanged herself in a barn, though officials have not commented publicly on Mary Kennedy’s cause of death.
A longtime friend, who spoke to Mary Monday, said they were sadly not surprised, as she faced mounting financial woes at the end of her marriage.

“I spoke to Mary on Monday and she sounded extremely down,” the source said. “She was depressed and despondent and worried about the future.”
“Mary said she was facing financial ruin, with American Express coming after her hard for an outstanding debt, along with several other creditors.”
“In addition, she was concerned that Robert was about to substantially reduce the amount of financial support he gave her and she’d lose her home.”
Mary was married to the son of Robert F. Kennedy for 16 years, before he filed for divorce in May 2010. The couple had four children together.
While estranged from RFK Jr., Mary lived at the family home in Mount Kisco, while Robert spent the majority of his time in Los Angeles, Calif.
“He has been dating Cheryl Hines for a while now and they are very happy.”
The source says Mary Kennedy was struggling to come to terms with the end of their marriage, despite Robert having filed for divorce two years ago.
“It was very tough for Mary to deal with Robert dating someone else,” the source says. “And it really didn’t help that the new woman is a celebrity.”
“She would see photos of the two of them together and it would drive her nuts. I think, deep down, she had still harbored a belief they would get back together but it had recently become blindingly clear that wasn’t to be.”
“Mary was in a very dark place recently. Robert tried to help her all he could but it was difficult for him to be around her. Robert is committed to his sobriety but Mary had chosen a whole different path to take.”
“When I heard the news that she may have taken her own life I was devastated, but not that surprised. It was in the back of my mind that she may do something like this, and that was compounded by the conversation I had with her.
“However she died though, this is an absolute tragedy. Mary was an amazing and beautiful person and she absolutely adored her children.”
“It is a devastating loss to all that knew her.”

The previous three men are:
- John Doe #1, an anonymous masseur who hired Gloria Allred to represent him after being dropped by his previous attorney last week.
- An Atlanta based masseur, also anonymous, who alleges sexual assault at a hotel and who is being represented by Okorie Okorocha.
- Former Royal Caribbean employee Fabian Zanzi.
The gym employee-personal trainer claims he would open the gym for John Travolta when he was on location for a film shoot, after hours.”
He did this as a courtesy for the Grease star, so he could enjoy privacy but maintain his fitness fir a physically challenging role he was doing.
The man says that inside the gym, John Travolta groped and fondled him against his will,” though further details are scarce at this time.
