Sister Wives Cast to Pick Up Mrs. Kody Brown #5?
May 10th

Will the cast of TLC’s Sister Wives make it an even five?
The crew was asked that and much more by Anderson Cooper this week. Kody Brown, the patriarch of the polygamist family, wasn’t exactly dismissive of the idea of adding a fifth wife, though he didn’t seem eager either.
“Certainly not right now,” said Kody.
“That doesn’t sound like a ‘no’ to me,” interjected Anderson, before Brown elaborated as to how his religious beliefs leave the door open.
“You guys have to understand that I answer to essentially a higher call. I’m part of an order, a church,” said Kody, claiming it’s out of his hands.
“So there is a situation where I feel I am maxed out anddon’t want to take another wife. I am not interested in that, but there is a requirement.”
“I answer to a higher calling, and if that requirement comes along and I have a choice in it, then I will do it. But I would prefer not to.”
Wondered Anderson: “Do you all feel like the mother of the child? How does this work?” Replied Meri: “We feel like one of the moms, definitely.”
Added Christine: “When he (the youngest, Solomon) cries, we all turn and try to make him happy except when it’s time to eat.”
The CNN anchor subsequently quizzed them on what it’s like having to move out of Utah, where Kody and company feared prosecution for their polygamist lifestyle, and moving to Las Vegas. Simply put, “It’s great.”
“It’s easy,” said Kody. “People apparently are tolerant, and it’s been a very good experience for us. We’ve got businesses that are going very well.”
As for whether the brood gets teased at school about plural marriage, he acknowledged “there’s a little”, but, at the age of 13, it’s “very regular.”
When Anderson asked if the kids might follow their parents’ example and embrace their unusual lifestyle, Kody acknowledged it’s their choice alone.
“Yeah, but they change their minds. Some kids have already said they will, some are saying they won’t,” he explained. “Let’s go through college.”
“That frontal lobe, that’s the part of the brain that lets you reason with reason, let’s get that developed and then let them make those decisions.”

Jon Hamm Offers Dating Advice: Everybody Farts!
May 10th

On Mad Men, Jon Hamm – as Don Draper, of course – gives advice to companies on how best to pitch their product. He’s a master salesman.
But, in real life, can the Emmy Award nominee make the same impression on teenage girls in search of answers regarding love, sex, fashion and farting? He attempts to do so in “Ask a Grown Man,” a Web Series sponsored by Rookie magazine.
“The world is your oyster,” Hamm tells one young lady, unsure what to do about a male flip-flopper. “You’ll be just fine. Don’t define yourself with who wants to get with you. I’m sure you’re a lovely person.”
Watch the hilarious video now for more dating gems:
Seriously. First, he rips Kim Kardashian. Now he passes along words of wisdom to the loveless and confused. Can Jon Hamm get any cooler?!?
The Choice Casts Joe Jonas, Pauly D, The Situation, Rob Kardashian & More!
May 10th

The Choice, Fox’s new dating show with thematic elements similar to The Voice, has cast a variety of singers, actors, models and reality stars galore.
Joe Jonas, Dean Cain, Tyson Beckford, Taylor Hicks, Jersey Shore‘s Pauly D and The Situation, Rob Kardashian and other dudes will compete for love.
The Choice’s female celebrities include Miss USA wild child Rima Fakih, actress Carmen Electra and models Hope Dworaczyk and Sophie Monk.

As hinted in The Choice promo, four stars sit in spinning chairs with their backs to a group of non-famous prospective dates, who pitch themselves.
Over the course of three rounds, the contestant pool is pared down until each celeb has chosen their date for the evening. Sounds easy enough.
Although none of the celebrities on the show bombed with the contestants, Jonas, Cain and Beckford were particularly sought after, apparently.
Five of the episodes on the show, which premieres June 7, will feature the male celebrities, while one episode puts women in the power seats.

iPhone 5 Rumors: Changes Worth Waiting For?
May 10th

What can we expect from the forthcoming, invariably awesome iPhone 5?
The next version of Apple’s revolutionary device hasn’t even been unveiled yet, but that hasn’t stopped experts (and consumers) from speculating on what features it might have, and more importantly, when it’ll go on sale!
Here’s what is known and rumored about the iPhone 5 thus far:

Colors! Apple has filed patents involving carbon fiber, which could also provide more strength to the phone’s body and a potential new added benefit: color.
Durability! Apple acquired rights to use a product from a company called Liquid Metal Technologies, which could offer the frame more elastic properties.
In other words, your piece will break less easily when you drop it on the street.
Bigger Design: Many new Android phones sport 4-4.5 inch screens, so Apple is feeling the pressure to increase screen size from its current 3.5.
Rumors also project a 20 percent thinner iPhone 5, decreasing from the 9.3mm iPhone 4S to a sleeker 7.4mm, plus a new dock connector.
Processor: The new iPad sported the faster A5X processor, some predict an even faster A6 processor with a gig of RAM in the new iPhone.
The inclusion of LTE, a faster processor and a bigger screen all mean a greater drain on the battery, which would likely be addressed as well.
Timing: Every year Apple hosts a developer conference in San Francisco in June, however, analysts are betting on October for a new release.
Steve Jobs hologram: Too soon? Sorry. We were just watching Tupac perform at Coachella and thinking about Steve dispensing wisdom on cue.
A racist Siri. Just kidding again. But you gotta see that parody.
Britney Spears Joins The X Factor: It’s Official!
May 10th

Britney Spears will in fact be a judge on The X Factor this fall, sources have confirmed. The partnership was all but certain weeks ago, but now it’s official.
After months of eight-figure negotiations, the star has finally signed her contract to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge on the Fox series.
Spears will get $15 million for one season of work.

She had agreed in principle to the deal weeks ago and had spent the last few days working out the fine print, which has finally been ironed out.
“The contract is signed,” reveals a source close to her. “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks, but she’s on. It’s all completed.”
“She’s ready for this,” the insider continues. “She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got.”
Britney “is beyond excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career.”
Cowell blew up the cast at the end of its inaugural season, keeping Reid but firing judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones.
With Britney on board, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato have both been rumored for the final spot on the panel, with Lovato the favorite.
Will Britney make a good X Factor judge?
What about Demi?
Mark Zuckerberg Criticized For Wearing Hoodie to Investor Meetings
May 10th

Geraldo Rivera meant.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly not impressed investors with his business savvy this week, and his signature hoodie has become emblematic of some long-held criticisms plaguing the online wunderkind.
In New York to woo investors for Facebook’s IPO, Zuckerberg hasn’t won over fans, fueling long-held rumors that for all his technical, innovative brilliance, Mark is an aloof, awkward guy who can’t get it together for the suits.

He shows up late for meetings or not at all. And when he does make it, his laid-back outfits (see above) haven’t helped, coming off as shlubby.
“Mark and his signature hoodie: He’s actually showing investors he doesn’t care that much; he’s just going to be him,” Michael Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Securities said in an interview on Bloomberg TV.
“I think that’s a mark of immaturity. I think that he has to realize he’s bringing investors in as a new constituency right now, and I think he’s got to show them the respect that they deserve because he’s asking them for money.”
Hoodies seem to have a lot of “meaning” these days, as we know, but this is a new spin. What do you think? Should Zuck wear ‘em to meetings?
Gavin Smith, Hollywood Executive, Reported Missing
May 10th

Hollywood film executive Gavin Smith is reportedly missing, and the surprising details – or lack thereof – about the family man’s disappearance have left his wife, kids and colleagues searching for answers.
Smith was staying at a friend’s house and drove off, without a word, in his black Mercedes around 10 p.m. one night last week. He never came back.
The 57-year-old was reported missing by his wife Wednesday when he failed to pick up his son to take him to school and then did not call into work.

Smith’s wife, kids, and sister told ABC News that the former UCLA basketball star and 20th Century Fox movie exec would never abandon his family.
“He would never do that. He’s a great father. My dad had no reason to leave,” said Evan Smith, Gavin’s eldest son and a basketball player at USC.
The family would not say why Smith, an 18-year veteran in the movie industry, was staying with a family friend in Oak Park, Calif., Tuesday night.
He had reportedly returned earlier that that day from a movie convention in Las Vegas and was supposed to stay the night there, but the family said it was unusual that he left that home at 10 p.m. without warning.
The Smiths told ABC News that Gavin Smith’s cell phone charger, shaving kit, and other belongings were all still at the friend’s house.
He was last seen in purple workout pants belonging to his teenage son, which the family says is a sign he had no intention of going out in public.
“That’s what he was wearing, you know? It doesn’t sound like he was going anywhere, you know?” Evan Smith said.
Lisa Smith said she last spoke to her husband Tuesday during the day to arrange plans for Wednesday morning for him to come pick up his son and take him to school. Lisa was busy taking care of her mother, who is battling cancer.
“As soon as I heard that he had not picked up Austin from school, that’s when I said, ‘There has to be something wrong.’ What that is, I don’t know. I don’t know,” said Tara Addeo, Smith’s sister.
The family has not been able to track down Smith through cell phone or credit card use or locate his car. They say he had no known enemies.
“We know someone knows something. There’s no doubt that someone knows something,” Lisa Smith said.
“He’s so recognizable, and he was in purple pants,” Addeo added.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Public Information Officer Steve Whitmore told ABC News it’s a missing-person case, and asked the public for tips.
Authorities say he was driving a black 2000 Mercedes-Benz 420E with a storage rack on the roof, tinted windows and a California license plate 6EKT044.
Stick It: Rays Fan Lunges For Foul Ball, Flips Over Railing, Spills Beer, Nails Landing!
May 10th

A talented Tampa Bay Rays fan lunging over a railing for a foul ball turned an epic fail into a highlight worthy of SportsCenter the other night.
After FALLING OVER THE RAILING onto the field, flinging his beer and flipping his entire body upside down … he managed to land on his feet.
Appreciative of this unintentionally amazing feat, the crowd roared, the fan bowed and the judges gave him a perfect 10 on the dismount:
American Idol Final 4 Review: California, There They Went!
May 10th

Note to American Idol: Who the heck is picking the weekly themes this season?!?
With the assignments growing more and more random, last night the final four finalists – Phillip Phillips, Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez – were tasked with singing on track by a California native band or artist; and one they wish they had written themselves.
Ummm… okay. Let’s rundown the first set of performances and then let’s vote on our favorite, shall we?
Phillip Phillips took on CCR and asked viewers one simply question: “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” Well, have you?!?
Hollie Cavanagh went on a Journey via one of this group’s all-time classics. Did she do justice to “Faithfully?”
We only have the audio for Joshua Ledet and his take on “You Raise Me Up,” but it’s easy enough to hear this man’s talent, isn’t it?
Jessica Sanchez wrapped up this portion of the evening with Etta James “Steal Away.” What do you think of the cover?
WHICH PERFORMANCE DID YOU LIKE BEST?
